Can I get a second opinion through EndoMD Health?

Yes, we provide second opinions and would be happy to look at your child’s past medical history, labs and other relevant medical information to diagnose and treat their hormone problem. Our goal is that you are completely satisfied and confident in your child’s diagnosis and treatment plan.

Can you give some examples as to what your coaches help with?

Our weight coaches will help your child stop overeating, without overly restricting their diet.

Our coaches will help your child with short stature gain the confidence they need to excel in school and sports.

If your child with hypothyroidism has low energy, we will look at lifestyle changes she can make to boost energy.

How is EndoMD Health different?

We know that treating your child’s hormone concern is not a quick fix. Firstly, our pediatric endocrinologist will provide the appropriate medical care your child needs. In addition, our team of coaches will complement this care while addressing their unique physiologic, nutrition and emotional needs.

How does online pediatric endocrinology care work?

About 80% of endocrine conditions can be diagnosed and treated without an in person exam. We will take the time to listen to your family, identify the root cause of your child’s hormone concern and give them the care and attention they need.

How soon can I meet with the pediatric endocrinologist?

As soon as you finish your medical questionnaire and obtain the required labs, our team will send you options to schedule your video visit with your doctor.  Our goal is to get your child scheduled within 1-2 business days.

What can I expect during a virtual consultation?

During a virtual consultation with our pediatric endocrinologist, you can expect a caring and personalized experience for your child. We’ll start by talking about your child’s health history, growth, and any concerns you have. Your doctor will review recent test results and go over any symptoms or medications your child is taking. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to help your child manage their hormone condition. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and get clear advice. Our goal is to provide expert care and support, all from the comfort of your home.

Why does EndoMD not take insurance?

In the traditional insurance system, doctors spend a significant amount of time doing administrative tasks so they can get reimbursed by insurance. By eliminating the insurance intermediary, your pediatric endocrinologist can take more time to focus on your child. Your plan does not have to be dictated by an insurance company but what is best for your child.

You will still use your insurance for medications, labs and x-rays.

Why do I need to sign up for a monthly membership if my child only needs a prescription?

Our goal is to provide your child holistic hormone care that goes beyond prescriptions. We know that your child is more than just a diagnosis, and that their nutrition, sleep, exercise, emotional and mental health affects their hormones immensely.

When we treat your child holistically, they will see long-lasting health benefits that goes beyond just treating hormone numbers with prescriptions.

You will still use your insurance for medications, labs and x-rays.
