Before you request
Before your visit
- Who we see
- Ages 0–26. Adults 18–26 can request care with their own contact details.
- Where
- First visits are by video while the patient is in Virginia or Maryland. Your clinician explains if an in-person assessment is needed.
- Who you’ll see
- A member of our clinical team: a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist (a doctor who treats hormone conditions in children and young adults) or our board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner. Pediatric endocrinologists lead care. Meet our team
- Insurance & referrals
- We check your plan’s benefits and referral requirements, and explain expected costs before your visit. Self-pay visits do not require an insurance referral.
- Self-pay
- We welcome self-pay patients. We explain fees before confirming your visit and can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement requests.
- Labs
- You can request care before gathering tests. Your clinician decides whether new tests are needed and explains how to arrange them.
