How care works

Endocrinology care. A clear next step.

Start with an endocrinology visit. Together, we discuss your concerns and the medical, nutrition or coaching support that may help.

You don’t need labs or a questionnaire before you request a visit. Your clinician orders tests if they’re needed.

Questions about how care works

Contact our team
Do I need lab tests before requesting a visit?

No. Request an appointment first. Your clinician will decide whether testing is needed, and our team will explain any records or forms to provide before the visit.

Is the first visit by video?

Yes. The patient must be in Virginia or Maryland during the visit. If an exam or measurements are needed in person, your clinician will explain the next step.

Can I request my own care if I’m 18–26?

Yes. Use your own contact details and tell us how you prefer to be contacted. You decide how family is involved in your care.

Can I text to request an appointment?

Yes. Text (571) 480-6053 for help with scheduling. For urgent health concerns, call (571) 480-6053; for a medical emergency, call 911.

How is follow-up planned?

Your clinician recommends when to return based on your care needs. For children and teens, caregivers help with the plan while the young person’s questions and preferences guide the conversation. Adults ages 18–26 choose how family is involved.
